Lilywhites Love

After barely missing out on UEFA Champions League soccer, Spurs hope to do one better this season in this striking shirt.

White jersey with the darkest blue trim in club history. The color design is a hat-tip to Tottenham teams of the 1960s. Supporters will hope the team can repeat league and cup glories of that era.

Hewlett Packard returns as the shirt sponsor. Fans will remember Spurs players donning the HP logo on their chests during the team's 1999 League Cup victory. Club legends Jurgen Klinsman, now coach of the US Men's National Team, and David Ginola wore the HP shirt during the previous partnership from 1995 to 1999.

The club crest, a fighting cockerel with riding spurs standing atop an early soccer ball, is on the chest.

Andre Villas-Boas will be eager to watch new Brazilian signing Paulinho, American Clint Dempsey and the rest of the squad compete at White Hart Lane in this shirt this season.

Con esta llamativa camiseta, el Tottenham Hotspur espera desempeñar un mejor papel en la nueva temporada. Es blanca y viene con costuras azules más oscuras que cualquier otra en la historia del club, un guiño a las camisetas que vistió el club en la década

Rules of the Game: Within each penalty area, a penalty mark is made 12 yards (11 m) from the midpoint between the goalposts and equidistant to them. An arc of a circle with a radius of 10 yards (9.15 m) from each penalty mark is drawn outside the penalty England's Football Association first legalized professional soccer players in 1885. Gerd Muller, who played for Bayern Munich from 1965-79, is the all-time leading scorer in the German Bundesliga with 365 goals in 427 games. Just Fontaine scored 13 goals for France in the 1958 World Cup, the most for an individual in a single tournament. The US Women have won the prestigious Algarve Cup tournament in Portugal five times as of 2007.
