Born to an Italian mother and Egyptian father, Stephan El Shaarawy is one of the highest-rated young players in Italy. He made his first senior club appearance at age 16 years and 55 days with Genoa in 2008. He came to Milan in 2011 and has a contract through 2017. El Shaarawy started serving the Italian national team as a U-16 player in 2008 and has continued through the system as a U21 player.
