adidas founder Adi Dassler produced his first soccer boots in 1929. They featured leather outsoles and studs. 700 patents for innovative products were granted to Adi Dassler during his lifetime (1900-1978). Everton's Dixie Dean set an English record when he scored 60 goals during the 1927-28 season.
