Plyometric training

Don Chu's plyometrics system includes over 30 exercises that will give your athletes the power they need to succeed. Chu begins with a set of reactive warm-up exercises on a 12" box that are designed to prepare an athlete for explosive plyometric training. Next, Chu progresses to higher box jumps followed by a depth jump series including forward and rotational jumping. In Part 2, Mat Exercises, Chu shares a progression of hopping, bounding and jumping exercises to train explosive takeoffs with forward and lateral explosiveness. Chu shares an exercise weight progression that he feels is essential for gaining strength to increase the effectiveness of plyometric training. He concludes with a segment on Complex Training, which features exercise combinations that combine strength and explosiveness. This system will have a lasting impact on the performance of athletes in any sport. 27 minutes.
