The mascot for the 1990 FIFA World Cup in Italy was a green, white and red stick figure with a soccer ball head named Ciao. The Final of the 1994 World Cup was played in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. The North American Soccer League (NASL) existed from 1968 to 1984 with teams in the United States and Canada. Bora Milutinovic is the only man to coach five World Cups with five different teams: Mexico, Costa Rica, United States, Nigeria and China. Substitutions were allowed for the first time in the 1970 World Cup.
