The Oneida Football Club was the first soccer club in America and was formed in 1862. Uruguay beat Argentina to win the first World Cup in 1930 in front of a crowd of 93,000 people. Mexican goalkeeper Antonio Carbajal played in five consecutive World Cups (1950-66). The Houston Dynamo edged the New England Revolution in the MLS Cup in both 2006 and 2007. The Netherlands' Ernie Brandt is the only man to score a goal for both teams in a World Cup game, accomplishing the feat in 1978.
