Soccer was first played as an official Olympic competition in 1908. Great Britain won the Gold that year. Mexican goalkeeper Antonio Carbajal played in five consecutive World Cups (1950-66). In the first US Open Cup Final, played in 1914, Brooklyn Field Club defeated Brooklyn Celtic, 2-1. Bora Milutinovic is the only man to coach five World Cups with five different teams: Mexico, Costa Rica, United States, Nigeria and China. Just Fontaine scored 13 goals for France in the 1958 World Cup, the most for an individual in a single tournament.
