The mascot for the 1978 FIFA World Cup in Argentina was a boy character named Gauchito. The U.S. Women's National Team went 51 games without a loss between 2004 and 2007. Of the U.S. WNT coaches who coached more than four games, only Tony DiCicco was born in the United States. Australia beat American Samoa 31-0 in a 2001 World Cup Qualifying match.
