Ready for Success in 2014

Peru competes in the tough CONMEBOL conference but they've still made it to the World Cup four times. This is the jersey Peru will wear as they try to qualify for 2014. Support la Blanquirroja in their new official home jersey from Umbro.

V-neck jersey with Peru's signature red sash is modern with a nod to Peru's soccer tradition. The jersey has "Inti pa sinchi" screened inside the collar, which translates to Warriors of the Sun. There is also an Incan sun god symbol on the back of the neck, a subtle nod to Peru's culture and history.

Like all of Umbro's team jersey, Peru's is tailored to fit with premium construction and materials. Ribbed red and white striped v-neck collar. Embroidered Peru team badge and logo. Lightweight polyester/cotton blend.

Rules of the Game: The referee indicates an indirect free kick by raising his arm above his head. He maintains his arm in that position until the kick has been taken and the ball has touched another player or goes out of play. Goalkeeper is the only position to be explicitly part of the rules of the game since they were codified in the 19th century. The mascot for the 1982 FIFA World Cup in Spain was an orange named Naranjito. On a regulation size field, the edge of the penalty box is 18 yards from the goal line. The United States Women's national team played its first-ever international soccer match on August 18, 1985 against Italy near Venice.
