Rules of the Game: During a kick-off, the kicker may not touch the ball a second time until it has touched another player. The mascot for the 1990 FIFA World Cup in Italy was a green, white and red stick figure with a soccer ball head named Ciao. Unlike the Olympics, FIFA recognizes the four Home Nations of the United Kingdom - England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland- as separate entities. The oldest soccer club in the world is England's Sheffield FC, founded in 1857. D.C. United has won the MLS Cup four times, more than any other team.
