Hatem Ben Arfa, an extremely talented young midfielder from France, signed with Newcastle in 2011. Before his deal with Newcastle, Ben Arfa played with Lyon, Marseille and originally came to Newcastle on loan. His father is a former Tunisian international soccer player, which gave him eligibility to play for Tunisia. He chose to continue with France, and has earned caps with all of France's youth teams. His work in the youth system has earned him call-ups from the senior team since 2007.
