Known and feared for his lightening speed, boundless energy and ability to chase down the long ball, this Nigerian is expected to make an impact on the Sounders offense. Before making the leap across the pond, Martins played 12 years in Germany, Italy, Spain and England.

Martins' brothers, Oladipupo Olarotini and John Ronan Martins also play professional soccer.
