Nike takes its name from the Greek goddess of victory. England's Football Association first legalized professional soccer players in 1885. Italy's famous 82,955-seat San Siro stadium is home to both AC Milan and Inter Milan. The two team's played each other in the ground's first game in 1926. The most prolific goal-scorer in the North American Soccer League was Italian Giorgio Chinaglia of the New York Cosmos: 242 goals in 254 games. The Netherlands' Ernie Brandt is the only man to score a goal for both teams in a World Cup game, accomplishing the feat in 1978.
