Robbie Fowler Signed Photo: UEFA Cup Final Goal

This superb photo was personally signed by Robbie Fowler at a private signing session in Liverpool on April 1, 2011.

It shows Robbie celebrating after scoring in the 2001 UEFA Cup final. Liverpool overcame Alaves in a truly epic encounter that finished 5-4 to the Merseysiders. Liverpool went 3-1 up only for Alaves to draw level. Robbie put Liverpool 4-3 up before Jordi Cruyff equalised with a minute of nomral time to go.

Finally, with only two minutes of extra time remaining, Liverpool hit the goal to earn them the trophy. Robbie is one of the club's favourite sons and this was one of his crowning achievements.

The photo is 16x12 inches in size and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Rules of the Game: An indirect free kick is awarded to the opposing team if a goalkeeper touches the ball again with his hands after it has been released from his possession and has not touched any other player. Goalkeeper is the only position to be explicitly part of the rules of the game since they were codified in the 19th century. The first African nation to qualify for the World Cup was Egypt in 1934. The second was Morocco in 1970. In 1994, Detroitís Pontiac Silverdome was the first-ever indoor stadium to be used in the World Cup. The first soccer league in the United States was the American Football Association, which existed from 1884-88.
