At the 1974 World Cup, “Player of the Tournament” and Dutch legend Johan Cruyff wore Puma football boots. In 1982, Argentina’s Diego Maradona led his country to the World Cup title. Wearing Puma boots, Maradona scored the spectacular solo goal which will later officially be voted Goal of the Century by FIFA. Maradona is voted “Player of the Tournament”. At the 1998 World Cup, Puma boots appear on the feet of 23% of the players who make an appearance. Rules of the Game: An indirect free kick is awarded to the opposing team if a goalkeeper touches the ball again with his hands after it has been released from his possession and has not touched any other player. Mexican goalkeeper Antonio Carbajal played in five consecutive World Cups (1950-66).
