Uruguay National Team
Uruguay was a giant in the game that fell asleep for four years, from 1970 to 2010. They began international play as a true global power by winning the first two FIFA World Cups„ that they entered: 1930 as hosts of the first event and 1950 in Brazil. They added two other fourth place finishes in 1954 and 1970, but then entered a long barren period, failing to qualify in 1978, 1982, 1994, 1998 and 2006 and only making it out of the Group Stage twice, never to the Quarterfinals during that stretch. 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa„ brought the dawn of a new era, a resurgence harkening back to those powerful teams of yesteryear. Luis Suárez, Edinson Cavani, Diego Forlán and the rest of the squad will try to lead the team back to glory. View the full selection of officially licensed Uruguay National Team gear.
