Chés Doctor Lifts Vicente Chin
(Soccer365.com) - Valencia physician Che Antonio Giner has instructed star wingman Vicente to regain hope of appearing for Spain at World Cup this summer.
The left-sider has struggled with ankle troubles for a good while now, and recently admitted he was almost ready to throw in the Germany 2006 towel.
"As things stand, it is obvious that I won't be going to the finals," Vicente told a national television audience. "It is going to be very difficult."
"All I'm worried about at the moment is getting back to full fitness to be able to help my team finish in the top four."
However, Giner says the player’s prognosis is not quite so negative.
"We hope that he will be training at the same level as the rest of the squad in 15 days," reported the doctor.
"We will tell him that everything is progressing according to plan and that he shouldn't be so pessimistic."
