Scolari Rubbishes FA Rumours
(Soccer365.com) - Portugal boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has tersely refuted English media speculation that he met with FA officials about succeeding Sven-Goran Eriksson after World Cup while on a recent London sojourn.
"If I had to deny everything that's been written about my future, I wouldn't do anything else in the next few months," Big Phil told Record. "I was in London on Friday for a conference with Bobby Robson."
"I arrived at 11 in the morning, I went to the meeting site, we had a meeting with business people and it was all over at five in the afternoon," said Scolari. "I got another taxi to the airport to go back to Lisbon."
"It's foolishness, and only makes sense if that (FA) director were the taxi driver."
