Ballack ‘Agrees’ Chelsea Deal – Report
(Goal.com) - According to reports in Germany, Bayern Munich star Michael Ballack has agreed to join Chelsea.
The German public broadcaster ZDF said all that was left was for 29-year-old to put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal with the Stamford Bridge outfit.
"According to information from ZDF, Michael Ballack and the English champions have agreed a four-year contract," the broadcaster said.
"The captain of Germany and the London club must only sign the contract now."
Neither club has confirmed the news. Ballack is available on a free transfer this summer.

Can we start calling Chelsea, Real Madrid jr. now? I hope he does for the blues what Becks did for Midrid. Nothing at all.

I glad I'm not the only one who finds Chelsea annoying.

Balack is an excellent player, whose skill need to be tested out of Germany

why would chelsea need him? and i like the comment about chelsea being "real madrid jr."
Posted by: cain | April 21, 2006 02:09 PM
Munich needs him more than Chelsea

Chelsea has enough in the center midfield. Makelele, Lampard, Essien they need to develope their team not sign more.

its rubbish, chelsea don't need anything more. They might though because united are going to blow them away.

I don't see why they want to get Ballack I would prefer somebody else like:Kaka,Camaronesi,Totti,C.Ronaldo,or Vicente!!

I' m really annoyed by chelsea right now, but also with Ballack wo's just looking for fame and money...he's the simbol of bayern munich who needs him much more than chelsea, but there are many players like him. totti (who's 5 times the player that ballack is)has always stayed with Roma and I admire him for that.

Ballack is a grat player whos talent matches the talent of Chelsea. By the way if Chelsea is like Real Madrid, then how come Chealsea is winning their league and Real Madrid isn't?

Who cares about Ballack. Thierry Henry should leave Arsenal and go to Chelsea. COme on now, think every one, THINK!

i just can't believe it

Chelsea is horrible, Bayern is the best everyone knows that! He should stay with Bayern forever!
Posted by: Anonymous | April 24, 2006 07:53 PM

Chelsea is the New York Yankees of the English Premier League. Their just buying any great player that is out there.Too many stars doesnt neccesarly mean more championships, just ask Real Madrid. But it does mean more media coverage and now with the new contract with Adidas for next year Ballack being part of Adidas, and now with Chelsea market wise it's a great deal now they can only hope that it translate's to the field.

ı thınk chelsea already has excellent midfielders so mourinho should be thınking of buying a striker.

Makelele, Lampard, Essien are not fit to wipe Ballack's Adidas! Ballack will put all of them to shame. Just wait to see who is the true greatest player in the world. I know that English fans are terrified at the thought of exposing the truth about their Lampard and their other English stars! Next to Ballack they will seem like children.

Am a little bit taking back on Ballack's move to Chelsea. In my opinion, Chelsea should harness the players in her disposal, rather than buying new ones. For I seriously think that a very good blend could make them a World beater. Otherwise, Jose'Mouriho's onion is seriously weathered. Bringing him-Ballack to Chelsea would only waste his time, as am sure he will be subjected to some Bench warming syndrome, which to me is mere wasting of time and talent. Ballack, please, think again.

Regardless of whether Ballack's joining Chelsea works or not, don't hate the team or the deal. Every team wants to win...why not Chelsea? Man U., Barca, Inter, all bought players to better their team; I didn't hear folks getting mad. Let Chelsea do the same.

chelsea rnt buyin evry good player out ther, ur rong anyway i dnt think ballacks comin anymre, mourinho needs 2 concentrate on strikers not more midfield. he jus has defenders and midfielders sittin on the benches all the time. he should look for sum1 frm italy say del piero. also even nick a few of liverpools strikers like morientes. i hope shevchenko decides to come in the end.

I disagree.Ballack is too old now.I think Chelsea should buy the youngster, not Ballack

wow ballack one of the best commanding midfield with chelsea that would make them untouchable
Cole Ballack Guerrard those 3 are enuf to face anymidfield in the world
and i persenaly think ballack and guerrard are the best attacing center midfield in the game ... look at how many goals they both have can't wait to see them togheter
but i todaly agree that he should stay with bayern ... they really need him he his the heart of this team and german football...
WAR BALLACK !!!

Ballack should obviously come to the premiership champions
Posted by: thomasso | May 11, 2006 03:12 AM
WOW,Ballack in englanD!great move by chelsea!Ballack is a midfield maestro, he can play defensively and attacking midfield.he is able to read the game and the mind of his teammates and give you the right pass at the right time.all this talk about being real madrid jr is dumb.chelsea have proven time and time again that madrid cant compete with CHELSEA.madrid lost to arsenal, while arsenal lost to chelsea.MAYBE THEY SHOULD BRING SEBASTIAN DEISLER TOO. BAYERN IS THE HEART OF BALLCK?THEY WERE DOEN VS DORTMUND, HE SCORES AND THE CROWD BOOS HIM!LIKE BOINGS IS GOING TO MAKE HIM STAY!gREAT MOVE FOR BALLACK.
BUT WE ALL KNOW WHO THE CHAMPIONS WILL BE NEXT SEASON!!

yeah i liked teh comment that said man utd are going to blow chelsea out of the water... so they might need him ...and who cares..THEY BUY ALL THEIR OTHER PLAYER thats how bad chelsea are!
Posted by: champ | May 24, 2006 04:05 AM
THE ONLY TEAM TO GO FOR IS MAN UTD AND MAYBE THE REAL MADRID...TEH ONLY REASON WHY CHELSE ARE NUMBA 1 N LADDERS AND WE R NUMBER 2 IS COZ THEY BUY ALLLL OF THEIR PLAYERS...AT LEAST WE HAVE TALENT
Posted by: 4 eva united | May 24, 2006 04:11 AM
I dont know what chelsea is doing but they are not compareable with MADRID nor is anyone out there. Real will find its way soon as they just need a good coach and a new(proper) system. This buying star thing was started by Perez before tht REAL use to have half its players come through its youth ranks. Any1 can find tht out as there is a big list tht i cant rite here.I have always been a MADRIDISTA & I'LL.
TRUE GALACTICO FOR LIFE.

Chealsea is not one of my favorite squads at all. Thou i am not a baseball fan this team seems to be like the yankees I mean how much money does that team have not to mention anymore players and time on the pitch would be very limited they have what 3 4 center mids its just crazy Chealsea would be way more respected if they were like West Ham with a couple of key players that tie the team together i just think that everyone would hog the ball and not put their skills together this might hurt Chealsea next season.
