Cassano Relying On WC Faith
(Soccer365.com) - Real Madrid forward Antonio Cassano realizes that his chance of making Italy’s World Cup roster drop every time he sits on the bench, but says all he can do is buckle down and cross his fingers.
“I haven’t lost hope, but I think it is going to be very difficult,” he told reporters. “I am not playing very much with my club and usually it is only those who are playing regularly who go.”
“I had some good chances today, but luck wasn’t with me,” said Cassano of their 2-1 fight back win over Málaga. “I played an hour and need to continue playing.”
“I am convinced, I will improve.”
