Chelsea Headed Stateside Again

(Goal.com) - England champions Chelsea will be announced as the opponents of the MLS All-Stars at a press conference near Chicago on Thursday.

Having just signed a partnership deal with Major League Soccer's Los Angeles Galaxy, Chelsea are set to follow in the footsteps of their Premiership colleagues at Fulham by taking on a group of top players from MLS this summer at the Chicago Fire's new stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois. The stadium has yet to open, but it will be ready within a few months.

Last year for the All-Star festivities a group of MLS players demolished Fulham in Columbus, Ohio.

That's pretty cool, though I think our guys will have to play a lot harder if they want to have a shot at beating the Blues.

Chelsea should play against a single MLS team (LA Galaxy/DC United) rather than an All Star team, especially with a few MLS games under their belt already.

I think a team that plays together on a regular basis has a better shot at defeating a top European club than a bunch of stars that don't know each other as well.

An all star team will draw more fans though...

I agree w/ hobbes. We saw last week what an MLS all-star team without team chemistry can do, it can draw with Jamaica. Chelsea is a little better than Jamaica. Let them play the Galaxy or KC at full strength.

It's to soon for the MLS to try to compete international US soccer is not ready.

If our MLS squad hopes to have a chance... they should ask Chelsea to play only 9 men, and leave players like Drogba, Terry, Czech, Lampard out of the squad... I see a Blow out coming

Got it! Tnahks a lot again for helping me out!
