Gansler Salutes Perfect Wizards
(Soccer365.com) - Kansas City coach Bob Gansler was proud of his side for following their game plan against New England, which allowed them to remain the league’s only 100% outfit.
The Wizards made it three wins from as many games by hanging on from Jimmy Conrad’s third minute strike to defeat the 2005 runners-up.
“It was a good game, the guys played well,” he told reporters. “(We) came out of the locker room extremely anxious to get that lead.”
“We pointed out to them that last time we played here we got two goals in four minutes and it was almost there again,” added Gansler. “We kind of took the wind out of our own sails by not converting the PK, but nevertheless we persevered.”
