Giuly Targets World Cup Place
(Soccer365.com) - Barcelona attacker Ludovic Giuly sees no reason why he shouldn’t make the World Cup trip to Germany with France this summer.
"I wouldn't understand being left out," he told L'Equipe. "Going there is the only thing that matters."
"If the coach doesn't want me he will have to tell me, but I'll do everything I can to be called up."
Many observers have clamored for Olympique Marseille revelation Franck Ribery to win a spot, but Giuly feels those people are being unreasonable.
"He is a good player and he is having a great season," he explained.
"What I regret is that people easily forget for which club I'm playing, with which players I'm playing and in which championship I'm playing."
