Nowotny Pinching Self Over Call
(Soccer365.com) - Veteran Bayer Leverkusen defender Jens Nowotny admits to doing a double take of joy after being named to Jürgen Klinsmann’s provisional World Cup squad.
The oft-injured 23-year old will undergo an exam next week to verify his fitness.
"I had to nip myself a few times to check I was awake," said Nowotny, who has been out of frame since Euro2004.
"To be involved at the World Cup would be a dream come true."
