Parreira: Ronaldo Knock Not So Bad

(Soccer365.com) - Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Parreira has admitted looking to the positive side of a minor weekend injury suffered by Real Madrid man Ronaldo.

Il Phenomeno suffered a slight muscle strain, which will not effect his World Cup participation.

“Three weeks of rest will allow Ronaldo to arrive at the World Cup in the best physical condition possible,” Parreira told reporters.

“It would be great if he doesn’t play anymore matches this season.”

I think that he should play some more games because he is a great player and his talent should not be wasted...

But yea i kinda do understand that the coach doesn't want Ronaldo to play because if he gets injured again he might be out for the World Cup and that would be bad for BRAZIL!

So Ronaldo should play, but don't have sit around and do nothing before the world cup plus that would be bad for him not to play any games.. I no for sure that i would not like to sit out a game... SOCCER IS MY LIFE...

We see this sort of thing every four years from Ronaldo. Whenever the World Cup is lurking, about 2 to 3 months before, Ronaldo puts it into cruise control. At times, it even seems like he doesn't put in the effort. All he's doing is conserving energy so he's fresh for the Cup. If anyone's seen Ronaldo this season, they know that he has not been in the best shape. The 'injury' only helps his plan to stay fresh for Germany.

ronaldo,at the moment is not playing great football and also seems to be carrying a few extra pounds;however, come the world-cup,platini and co will eat their words.this man has proven over and over again what a great footballer he is.i watched him play against agentina in the qualifiers in which he scored a hattrick.he was just amazing in that game.he single handedly tore the argentine defence to shreads.stay tuned for more this world-cup!!
