I don't think that Henry will go back to arsenal, but I think that there is a chance he'll go back to Juventus, he did say that he'd like to play allong side Trezeguet even outside the national team.

I am a HUGE Henry fan. I am also a big Man United fan. That said, I would hate to see him leave Arsenal. The style that Wenger uses caters to Henry's flamboyance and attacking style. I also think Arsenal will be intent on having their main attraction when they open the new stadium next season.

I think Henry has good speed on and off the ball.Besides that, I do not think hes that good of a player. He does not do well in international level. To clear the air... Their are three great things in this world right now: Henry, Adidas, and Arsenal. The three "Ah's" if you will. Henry is probably the greatest striker ever to live with unparallelled class. Adidas should provide his boots because they are all works of art. And Arsenal is where he should stay. We had to say goodbye to Highbury, let's not say goodbye to Henry, and probably Bergkamp soon, in one season :)

Henry will still be extremely fast even if he's not wearing the vapors. The change in his speed would be unnoticeable. He'll still be one of the greatest strikers in soccer.

I'm a big Henry fan and a even bigger Nike fan, this is just not right I can understand Adidas just like Messi did, but reebok is not like he's british. Reebok would not know how to market him unlike Nike, Reebok hasnt done it and they never will, Nike would have been better,is not like he desperately needs the money.I can understand Adidas to join Beckham and Ballack or even Puma to join Eto'o and Pires but Reebok big mistake.

I think Henry going to Reebok is a HUGE success for Reebok and I think the "I am What I Am" campaign is perfect for Henry on and off the field... Also, I was lucky enough to test the Reebok Pump boots recently (not out yet) and I was happily surprised, they were incredibly light and they mold to the foot... First time I wore Reebok boots.. not bad at all..

Who cares what brand boots he wears? As long as he still scores goals then it shouldnt matter. And its not about the commercials and the cool stuff nike does to promote, its all about the game. Thierry Henry was brilliant in a pair of Adidas boots. Came to prominance in a (few) pairs of Nike boots and will continue his dominating form in Reeboks. For the world class athlete a boot is nothing more than more free stuff to play the world's greatest game.

The one thing lost in all of this is that Reebok does not put the advertising dollars into promoting their athletes as Nike does.

I think Henry is a smart person so I guess he knows what he is doing. He can recognize what is right and not right. Noone knows what he did not like about swoosh,but maybe he did not wanna be a Nike promoting player. I love Nike and their commercials, but he is a footballer and not an actor. Unlike Ronaldinho, he does not seem to be having enjoyment in showing up.

The way I see it, is that Henry's an intelligent guy. As JB said, he has his reasons. I think that the racism issue means a lot to him and he probably feels that Reebok, with its marketing campaign 'I am what I am' will suit this fight perfectly.

Furthermore, it does not matter what shoes he wears. It is not actually going to affect his performance. Are you telling me that wearing Vapor boots is going to make me faster? Come on, the increase in speed is so marginal, it does not even count.

The trick is the marketing; to make you believe that the shoe has these added benefits. It's mostly psychological. I admit I am a sucker for it.

And since we are discussing boots, Nike boots are rather poor. The synthetic leather they use for all their total 90s line and their vapor line stretches tremendously after a few times of usage. The touch is also quite poor but hey, to each their own.

Henry already commited to Arsenal in May by signing a contract extension to keep him at Arsenal until the summer of 2007.

I am glad to see that some people on the board recognise that 90% of the effectiveness of 'vapours' is done with marketing. the boots themselves are scientifically proven to have poorer performance when actually kicking a ball than alot of the other less well known names in the game such as Joma, A-line and Mizuno. As for reebok, not only are they regarded as the leader in the USA interms of high performance design (leader in NFL, NBA) but the have also recently merged with Addidas who over the past 20 years have made the best boots on the planet. As for hte weight making him run quicker....1) the weight change is minimal, when changing boots. 2) if sprinting was the main requirment of football, Maurice green would be in the premiership.3) I think Henry has already seen, played in and is fully aware of the boots he will be given by reebok and at the end of the day, if they were bad he wouldnt have signed.

Just so we're all clear (though towards the bottom more informed comments have been posted): 1) Henry does not wear boots you can buy in a shop (obviously), they are custom made for his feet and nothing like the ones we can buy (other than in colour), so changing to RbK makes absolutely no difference to his game - suggesting he might be slower next season is full-on laughable. 2) Maybe the reason he's gone to RbK is cos he's fed up of being 1 of 30 Nike players - he's an individual, unique, does what he wants, and as such is perhaps better suited to RbK (IAWIA as someone mentioned)... 3) Who the hell are we to judge Henry's decisions on a professional basis - the guy is a legend both on and off the pitch, he's also not stupid, and for those who said "baaad mistake" etc. maybe, just maybe - he knows more than you about what's best for him! 4) he'll explain his decision as to why he's moved to RbK in the boot launch before next season, but I'd imagine disatisfaction with Nike might have something to do with it 5)V glad he's staying at the Arsenal!
