Roma Issue Stern Chivu Edict
(Soccer365.com) - Despite growing rumours of resurrected interest from Real Madrid, AS Roma general manager Bruno Conti insisted that there was no way the Galacticos would be able to pry Christian Chivu away from the side.
“(He) is a player who we deem as untransferable,” asserted the executive. “He is one of our pillars for the future of this club.”
“We are not even thinking about the possibility of depriving ourselves of such a player.”
The Romania skipper often has speculation linking him with an exit to Inter Milan or Juventus, but has thus far made no claims of any unhappiness in Rome.
