Sheva Wants Changes In Italy
(Soccer365.com) - AC Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko as appaled by the weekend team attack by Inter fans, and has declared that this type of behavior must cease before it intensifies further.
The incident was the latest in a string of worrying actions from various Serie A supporters; scrutiny from outside the country has grown quite large over the past two seasons.
It was the second time in recent years that Inter fans, who have already been hit with one UEFA stadium ban this term, took a threatening posture towards their own squad.
"If it carries on like this then we will end up like the gladiators of ancient Rome: if you lose, you get torn to pieces," Shevchenko told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"The fans have the right to protest, but it is out of order to attack people."
