Van Basten Paints Oranje As Pups
(Soccer365.com) - Holland manager Marco van Basten claims that his side do not have the World Cup experience to be considered one of the main threats to win it all this summer.
The Euro88 hero’s squad is hardly green, but most have not appeared at the tournament, which Oranje failed to qualify for in 2002.
"The reality is that we are less experienced than the so-called big countries: Argentina, Brazil, Italy, France, Germany and England, among others," explained San Marco. "These teams are ahead of us."
"We only have a fair chance of a good account against these top-class teams," suggested Van Basten. "Everything would need to go according to plan."
"Of course, it is great to compete with these famous teams - they usually take the first step which offers us opportunities."

It's unbelievable how little faith he has in his team. Are they young? No doubt about it, but I believe that will suprise many teams this World Cup, and get deep in the final stages.
