Argentina hopeful over Messi

(Soccer365.com) - Leo Messi has not yet healed from a thigh injury and will not be rushed into action.

The 18-year-old Barcelona forward is still recovering from a thigh injury and will not be rushed back into action.

Argentina coach Jose Nestor Pekerman said: "He is better every day. But we don't want to make mistakes. We'll go slowly, even though he is impatient."

Pekerman's assistant Hugo Tocalli added: "We have to wait a bit more but he will get to the opener in condition to play."

Argentina are happier with the fitness of Manchester United defender Gabriel Heinze, who missed eight months of the Premiership season due to a ligament injury.

Tocalli said: "Heinze is very well."
