Ballack, Chelsea join forces with three-year deal

London, England (Sports Network) - After helping Bayern Munich capture its second consecutive league title in the Bundesliga, midfielder Michael Ballack signed a three-year contract with Premiership's Chelsea on Monday.

The midfielder is Chelsea's first signing of the summer. The club finished the Premiership season winning its second consecutive league title. Ballack's contract with Bayern Munich was due to expire this summer.

Ballack put pen to paper Monday morning at Stamford Bridge.

In four years at Bayern Munich, Ballack helped the club to three league titles and three German Cups.

Ah Ballack to Chelsea, that def. doesnt put a smile on Man U. fans faces, like me, they need to do some serious signings or team changes to challenge Chelsea in the Premiership. But i still have faith in my club...Go Man U.!!!!!

chelsea are going to become the next real madrid. They are signing players that are in their prime (save robben, and Joe Cole). United though are goin for the long term in tryin to sign cole (brilliant move)and Diarra. Chelsea my be the dominant force in england for the next 2 or 3 yrs. but united will rule the next 10

I am a United fan myself, but i do believe ballack made the right choice. I know if i were him i wouldn't really want to play for alex ferguson either. Especially after what he did to Rudd, Keane, and Beckham. Good choice Ballack!

ballack made a bad mistake he should have gone to chivas of mexico because i am a chivas fan and he would go great with the team.

michael is a good player he will fair well at chelsea,i wish him all the best as well as the team,a word of advise to the Russian owner;if he wants Chelsea to keep on lifting cup after cup he should retain Jose'.i remain a Chelsea fan.

Why would michael Ballack go to a terrible club like chivas?

Ballack should have stayed with Bayern. The only reason he went to Chelsea is for the money. Chelsea is ruining the transfer markt by throwing money around. Eventhough they do not win the Fa Cup or the Champions League.

As a Bayern Munchen Fan i am dismayed by the departure of Ballack. But I do, however, see where he's coming from, If I had a chance to make more money like that I would probably do the same.

I think chelsea will end up like real madrid: they have too much talent (if that makes any sense) and they will start losing because pretty soon the only two things these players will think about is money, and themselves looking good.

I think M.Ballack is a great player and since the last match Chelsea VS Bayern Munchen He was thinking leave Munchen. Now is playing for Chelsea and I think is the better choise any player in the should do.

BOOO CHELSEA
GO REAL MADRID
