Chivas: “We go all out”
(Soccer365.com) - Rookie Chivas coach Jose Manuel de la Torre, who won his first playoff series against Jagaures on Sunday, said his team put up a maximum effort.
Showing little emotion after the big win, Chivas manager Jose Manuel de la Torre, who earned his first playoff victory as a head coach, made it clear that on any competition, Chivas will respond big, yet he noted that in order to win it all they have to take it one step at a time.
“From the outset we’ve said that if this institution takes part in anything, it’s going to go for it all, we don’t do anything half way and there’s no greater example of this than today.”
“This team is ready for everything, we are very confident because our group has great capacity,” said Chepo. “They’re young, but they’ve done well, giving us a lot to look forward to. We are taking it step by step, day by day achieving objectives, making dreams come true.”
Considering all the obstacles in their way, the young Guadalajara manager qualified the Chivas comeback win, after falling at home 3-2, as an act of great personality.
“I think the team made it with great personality, knowing all the adversity we had, but we had to fight until the last minute, if we wanted to get the qualification, and fortunately it turned out. I think the mentality and personality they showed was key.”
