Cup Winners’ Cup 2006: Boca Juniors v São Paulo Scheduled

(Goal.com) - Argentineans Boca Juniors and Brazilians São Paulo will play the ‘Recopa Sudamericana’ (South American Cup Winners’ Cup) in a two-leg final that will take place in September according to today’s announcement by the ‘Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol’ (CSF – Confederation of South American Football).

The ‘Recopa Sudamericana’ is the equivalent of the FIFA event that pits the Champions League winners against the UEFA Cup winners. In South America this means that the winner of the Copa Libertadores de América (São Paulo) and the Copa Sudamericana (Boca Juniors) will face off in a classic clash of Brazilians and Argentineans after the World Cup.

The first leg will be played in La Bombonera, Buenos Aires, on the 6th of September – Boca the winner of the lesser trophy – and the second leg will see the trophy awarded to one side or the other at Morumbi stadium, São Paulo the week after on the 13th of September. The Argentineans will be defending the Recopa they currently hold after beating previous surprise Libertadores 2004 winners Once Caldas of Colombia.

Its going to be a relatively easy task for sao paulo. The team already proved itself against tricky oponents such as Estudiantes and RIver. Despite the loss to internacional in the libertadores cup final, the team is already playing high level soccer, and will becounting on another great day for Goalkeeper/striker Rogerio Ceni to leave Jose L Chilavert behind even more in the scoring count.

There is no way, that it's going to be a relativley easy task for Sao Paulo, Boca Juniors is playing very good football at present and are defending the Title in their home ground.
And for whomever wrote this report~ Boca Juniors won the Copa Libertador and not Sao Paulo.

Boca 2 Sao Paulo 1..

Told you so!!!

That's a smart way of thiinkng about it.
