Czech Republic's Rosicky To Sign For Arsenal

(Goal.com) - Czech Republic star Tomas Rosicky is set to sign for Arsenal after his national coach confirmed the Borussia Dortmund player was undergoing a medical with the Champions League runners-up.

"I am surprised it did not come to light earlier," said Czech Republic coach Karel Bruckner.

"I must now admit that Tomas is undergoing medical tests."

The 25-year-old playmaker joined Dortmund from Sparta Prague for 18 million pounds in 2001. The Czech Republic international has joined Arsenal, the Champions League runner-up, on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee.

Rosicky has made 31 appearances in the Champions League for Borussia Dortmund and Sparta Prague, and had been expected to sign for Atletico Madrid.
