Di Stefano Appalled At Real Course
(Soccer365.com) - Merengue legend Di Stefano critical of 'Galacticos' policy.
Real Madrid icon Alfredo di Stefano has lashed out at the decision makers that have stalled their trophy chase.
Los Merengues are set to end their second year without silver, and their former star blames the slide on poor transfer philosophies.
"It's amazing how many players they have been buying and selling," blared Di Stefano. "You can't run a football club as if it was a supermarket."
"We have to try and improve next year," he explained. "We have to work with the youth team players first... we have to persevere and try to get better."
"There are some great players at Real, but they have to work as a team... in football what counts is team spirit."

Di Stefano is 100% correct, you don't need 11 superstars, you need eleven players playing as a team.Look at Brazil in the world cup,on paper simply unbeatable, look at Real madrid last couple of years, the same, and look at the US Basketball team in the last olympics??I would rather have good players playing with pride and heart, instead of eleven primadonnas.having great individual skills doesn't necessarily mean you're a great team member.
