Fowler Gets Liverpool Deal
(Goal.com) - Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler will prolong is second spell at Anfield as he has earned himself a new one-year contract with the Reds.
Fowler has scored four goals for Liverpool since his shock return on a free transfer from Manchester City in January.
Coach Rafael Benitez has kept his cards close to his chest over whether Fowler would get a new contract, but the fans favourite will be staying on for at least one more season.
"I had been treating every game as though it could be my last for Liverpool," said Fowler.
"Now I've got the incentive of knowing I'll get more chances to wear the red shirt. I would love to be part of a Liverpool side that wins the title."
While Benitez added: "This is fantastic news. Robbie has done really well and he deserves this.
"He has scored vital goals for us and has worked really hard. I am delighted to have him with us for next season, he is an important member of our squad."

Iagree wholeheartely that robbie be given a one year contract he has in my opinion been one of the best reds players in the last ten years. This is my opinion only but i can not forget the goals he scored against Newcastle a few years back they were brilliant
