France: Coupet Sights Set On #1 Shirt
(Soccer365.com) - Ligue 1's top goalkeeper the last four years, Lyon's Gregory Coupet, has his eyes set on a Les Bleus starting spot.
Fresh from being named Ligue 1’s top keeper for the fourth consecutive season, Lyon star Gregory Coupet admitted that he was intent on starting for France at World Cup.
"I am very, very proud of that reward," he said. "The icing on the cake would be to become a first-team member during the World Cup."
"It is an obsession," admitted Coupet. "If I am not, obviously I will need some time to cheer up."
"I prefer to not think about it as it could be so traumatic."
