Gibbs Signs Charlton Pre-Deal
(Soccer365.com) - U.S. defender Cory Gibbs has signed on to join Charlton in July – provided of course, he can acquire a work permit from the UK Home Office.
The Feyenoord castaway is fresh off a loan spell with ADO Den Haag that allowed him to regain fitness after a 10-month knee injury layoff.
Gibbs says he rejected overtures from Bolton, Reading and Middlesbrough.
"Playing Premiership football has always been my dream and I was flattered to have such options," he told the club website. "Having met with the representatives from Charlton I was hugely impressed with the chairman, Richard Murray, and his ambitious plans for the continued development of the club."
"I honestly believe I am joining a club that is ambitious and hungry for success."

Good for Gibbs. It's good to have another yank make a splash in the EPL.
