Henry Said To Favor Milan
(Goal.com) - Arsenal fans look away now. The latest rumour about star striker Thierry Henry is that while all the speculation has been about a possible move to Spain, to Barcelona or possibly Real Madrid, Serie A heavyweights AC Milan have made a blind-side run and are tempting Titi to switch to the San Siro.
Reports in Italy at the weekend claimed that Henry fancies a Milan move.
Although it infuriates Gunners fans, the media on the continent seem to take it as read that the 29-year-old Frenchman - who concluded Arsenal's Premiershop campaign, and their occupancy of Highbury, with a trademark hat-trick against Wigan on Sunday - will leave Arsenal in the summer, as he has not yet signed an extension to a contract that expires in June 2007.
With another 33 goals under his belt this seaon, and the Champions League Final to come, Henry is undoubtedly one of the most sought after assets in world football. We know he is a confirmed target for both Internazionale patron Massimo Moratti and Barcelona.
Italian newspapers are claiming that Henry wants to return to Serie A, where he had a brief spell as a winger with Juventus in 1998-99, and that his preferred employers would be Milan, where he would partner Andriy Shevchenko and Kaka.
The Rossoneri have been in two of the last four Champions League Finals and reached the last eight every season since winning it in 2003.
It is further asserted (in Italy) that Arsenal would let their captain go for around £10 million - which seems ludicrously low for a player of his stature but is probably a figure arrived at because he has only a year left on his Arsenal contract.
It could be argued, of course, that Milan's priority ought to be revitalising their aging defense.

Henry is the best footballer (striker) in the world and he deserves to be the richest payed player. If players like Beckham, and figo got top dollar then Henry should get double.(figure of speach)(respond please)

Henry is magnificent striker and since he has taken over Viera's place as captain he has really stepped it up. He had a great season. If he stays with Arsenal I will be happy but any club that gets him is extremely lucky. Well done Henry!

I don't think it's a good move. Arsenal fans worship him and I don't think he should throw that away just yet because we could get some new players and other teams could lose some which will give Arsenal a good chance of winning.

Henry is a fantastic player. He can never live up to Andriy's standards, but together, they could make a nearly invincible striking team.

Ummm...No he won't, because he signed a new 4 year contract with Arsenal back in May keeping him in England until 2010.
Good decision on his part, considering the level of play in the EPL and Arsenal's obvious commitment to the future with all the young talent they've signed, and the new facilities.

It was just wishful thinking, he'd look good in red and black
