I Turned Down Chelsea, Says Salgado

(Goal.com) - Real Madrid right-back Michel Salgado has revealed that he turned down a move to Chelsea as he intends to finish his career at the Santiago Bernabeu.

(Goal.com) - The 30-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Spanish giants following their disappointing campaing.

However, he said defiantly: "I have made it very clear, I don't see myself in any other team.

"I decided to remain at Real Madrid and not go to Chelsea, I did it in order to remain here for life.

"My future is here and I intend to retire here, it would be the best thing for me."
