Kuranyi Distraught Over WC Miss
(Soccer365.com) - Schalke 04 striker Kevin Kuranyi admits he is having a bit of trouble dealing with the fact that he was not named to Jürgen Klinsmann’s Germany squad for World Cup.
"I'm completely speechless, deeply disappointed and am sure I'll have several sleepless nights," he moaned. "I'm continually asking myself the question 'Why me?'"
"I know that I haven't had a great season and that my 10 goals aren't exactly a real eye-opener, but I've continued to develop this year."
"I proved my ability once again in the Champions League and scored plenty of goals for Germany at the start of Jurgen Klinsmann's reign," argued Kuranyi, who did make the alternates list.
