Lippi: Diana, Vieri Ruled Out
(Soccer365.com) - Winger Aimo Diana and striker Christian Vieri will not make Germany trip.
Italy boss Marcelo Lippi has revealed that Sampdoria winger Aimo Diana and Monaco forward Christian Vieri will not be part of his World Cup roster.
"I have very clear ideas about my squad and a few injuries have contributed to clarifying the position," Lippi told ANSA.
"Vieri has an operation on his knee and won't be available, while Diana has a serious groin injury that won't be right in time and so he won't be able to be called up."
