(Soccer365.com) - In light of the ongoing wiretap scandal back home, Italy boss Marcelo Lippi believes it is the team’s duty to restore the good name of Azzurri football at World Cup 2006.
In light of the ongoing wiretap scandal back home, Italy boss Marcelo Lippi believes it is the team’s duty to restore the good name of Azzurri football at World Cup 2006.
"We want to take the name of Italian football to make it at the highest level," he stated. "We know we have this responsibility."
"We hope to feed the enthusiasm with good results."
Lippi, however, begged off of questions over his take on the controversy.
"Everything is happening right now," he explained. "It's not for me to judge."
"I am only thinking of doing my own job."

I think that italy is going to win the world cup.I beleive they have one of the strongest teams in the world cup.They got young talent in the team.Then again italy has players with experience.
