Metzelder In World Cup Doubt
(Soccer365.com) - Christoph Metzelder could miss the '06 World Cup after suffering a training injury.
Borussia Dortmund center back Christoph Metzelder has suffered a training injury that could cost him a place on Germany’s World Cup roster.
The captain tore a calf muscle on Tuesday, and Die Mannschaft assistant Joachim Low says Jürgen Klinsmann will wait for more medical information before filling out the team list.
"We will get together on Sunday in private," said Low. "Everything will discussed and then our decision will be made."
"(Metzelder’s) place is very uncertain at the moment."
