Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Parreira believes his side cannot rely on past glories to cruise through this summer's World Cup.
The Selecao hold the record for most trophies won, and although many of the current squad tasted victory in Japan and South Korea in 2002, Parreira is confident they will want more.
"We have players who have won a lot of things, including World Cups, but we have to have humility in order to play as a team," he said.
"It is important for the players to have motivation for this World Cup.
"We haven't run out of hunger to be champions.
"We have the same obligation to win as the other teams, but it's important to go back to Brazil conscious that we did our best.
"It's a treacherous competition, in which weaker teams can surprise. But in nobody's head is there the thought of returning home early."
Brazil face Australia, Japan and Croatia in World Cup Group F.
