Romário Chasing 1000-Goal Mark
(Soccer365.com) - Romario looking to emulate Pelé and Arthur Friedenreich in natting 1000 goals.
Set for his Miami FC debut against Rochester, Brazil strike legend Romário says he came to the States to get the last 36 goals needed to reach the millennium mark.
"I haven't come to the USA for money," he declared. "I keep on playing because I have football in my veins and because I enjoy it."
"I am prepared to make my debut in this championship and I expect to keep on scoring goals because that is a gift that God gave to me."

I totally believe Romario will not only reach his goal but will go past 1000 goals. I also believe that Romario should've been part of Brazil's National team in '98 an 2002, he is one of the greatest soccer players.

I have never seen a striker with so much skill, finess and goal scoring ability. Romario was special. He was a phenomenon. His style and executoin were unreal. I think he was better than Van Basten and Klinsmann. He was the one and only Romario.
He was a pleasure to watch. Only Pele and Maradona were better Players.
