Ten Cate Previews Ajax Signings
(Soccer365.com) - New Ajax boss Henk ten Cate revealed to a national television audience that the club are closed to shoring up a couple of positions in the transfer market.
The Amsterdammers are closed to securing the services of Steaua Bucharest right back George Ogararu.
The erstwhile Barcelona assistant coach also hinted that oft-injured midfielder Gabri could follow him from Nou Camp.
"Gabri would be a great player for Ajax," Ten Cate told Studio Voetbal. "He can play in more than one position and is a good professional."
The club are also reportedly on the trail of Genk midfield prodigy Steven Defour.
