Henry Furious After Vieira ‘Goal’

(Goal.com) - France striker Thierry Henry was seething after seeing Patrick Vieira denied a goal in the 1-1 draw with South Korea.

Vieira’s header clearly crossed the line but was not spotted by referee or linesman, and Korea came back to draw the game 1-1.

"South Korea has never been dangerous and we conceded a stupid goal," Henry told L'Equipe.

"Meanwhile, Pat's header passed the line by one metre, but the referee didn't give us the goal.

"At 2-0 it would not have been the same match anymore.

"I don't say it is the referee's fault that we didn't defeat South Korea, simply, if he had given us the valid goal, that would not have offered the Koreans the opportunity to come back into the match.

"When we came back in the changing room and saw the ball was in, we were really upset. The game was settled at that moment."

true the game would have changed but at world cup level you have to be able to put the ball in the back of the net if you want to win especially against a team like South Korea, Henry could have scored another and that call wouldn't have mattered

Henry should be mad at nobody but himself, after missing on a break away late in the second half. Because if he scores that goal, zidane doesn't get his second yellow and wouldn't have to sit out the last game. Zidane is one of the greatest players to ever set foot on the planet. though he is getting old when he touches a ball he is able to still produce a bit of magic. I hope france wins their final game, not for the sake of their team, but for the sake of the world to be able to see one of the greatest players to ever play the game. Good luck France!!

I believe Ghanas win against United States of America was deservered and no one shiould claim there was fluking here. The lads played with the hearts out and wiyh the motivated to write his tory , that ids the same with other africa n countries thuogh they were quite over powered and i would say un likely not to cross the red line.
Africa go Ghana go

all in all you need zidane... you need him to put you through to the next round. France has loads of talent but at times fail to find the chemistry with in themselves.. zidane brings them together and with him ou tthe next match the French have an enormous hole to dig them selves out of... high mountains to climb... I am behind them all the way

France rely too heavily on Zizou and Henry. Without Zidane I think the players doubt they can play well. With only one crutch to stand on in Henry, I think theyll tie or quite possibly lose.

That's rellay thinking out of the box. Thanks!
