Lippi: Zambrotta, Gattuso Both Available
(Goal.com) - Italy boss Marcello Lippi announced all of his players are available for Saturday's crucial group stage clash against Bruce Arena’s United States.
”All my players are available including Gattuso,” were words the former Juve boss spoke during the post-training press-conference held in the Fritz-Walter Arena on Friday afternoon.
Lippi also added that Zambrotta, who together with Gattuso was unavailable against Ghana, will be part of the game.
Italy won their opener 2-0, and with a win tomorrow they could clinch a second round birth.
An Azzurri triumph would also mean ‘ciao USA’ from the World Cup, as the Americans fell 3-0 to the Czech Republic in their debut clash.
“We need to watch out very much because the Americans will fight for their lives. It would be a huge error to underestimate them.
"I think they played well against the Czech Republic, the score-line doesn’t reflect how the game really went.
"We would make a huge error to think it did,” was Lippi’s warning to both his players and the Italian press.
