Michel: It’s Now Or Never For Us
(Soccer365.com) - Ivory Coast manager Henri Michel has challenged his side to score a famous victory over the Netherlands on Friday to salvage their first ever World Cup campaign.
Smarting from a tough loss to Argentina, the Elephants have little choice but to claim at least a point if they want their third Group E match to mean much.
"The problem is simple: a defeat against the Netherlands will send us home," Michel told reporters. "I hope we didn't come to the World Cup to go back home so quickly."
"This match is extremely important for us because we are not in the best position."
"We know the quality of this Dutch side," he added. "The key area is in midfield, where they compliment each other very well and are very efficient."
"And we all know, of course, about the attacking qualities of the side."
